When does YDFA practice and perform?

The YDFA season runs from September to March. Registration opens in September and closes in October. Practices are generally held on Thursday evenings at local elementary schools in Los Altos. Actors are cast into groups and can expect to practice about two times per month. Practices may increase in February to once a week. In early March, there are two dress rehearsals, one of which is mandatory and we generally perform two shows on a Saturday or Sunday.

How old does my child need to be to join YDFA?

Actors range from Kindergarten through 12th grade. We also have a limited number of spots for post senior high school young adults.

How can I register my child?

Go to CONTACT and enter your information. Registration for our 2017-18 season will begin in September. We will notify you of our orientation meeting sometime in early September. Spots will be awarded to returning families first and then on a first come first serve basis.
